Otter.ai

The SDRC has developed an Assistive Technology Loan Program aimed at helping you better succeed in your classes. We offer a variety of resources available to all 7cs, one of them being Otter.ai. For more information about this great program or any training videos, please see below.

What is Otter.ai?

Otter.ai is a recording program that may be used to record notes for meetings, interviews, lectures, and other important voice conversations.

What are the features of Otter.ai?

With Otter.ai you can record conversations, lectures, or meetings on your phone or computer. While Otter.ai is recording, it will also provide live transcription for rich, searchable notes with text, audio, images, speaker ID, and key phrases. You can also share the recording and transcriptions.

Is there a tutorial I can watch to learn more about Otter.ai?

Yes, please follow the link below to view an online tutorial that will show you all of the basics on how to record lectures, meetings, or other discussions as well as how to navigate all of the features.

How do I request access to Otter.ai?

Should you want to request access to Otter.ai, you will need to speak with your home campus disability coordinator. If you do not know who your campus coordinator is, please follow the link below for their contact information.

Will there be a charge for me to access Otter.ai?

No, there is no charge access Otter.ai from the SDRC.

How do I access Otter.ai due to COVID-19 restrictions?

Upon being approved for this accommodation, the SDRC can create a user profile for you and email you the login credentials. Please contact the SDRC directly at sdrc@claremont.edu or (909)607-7419 to get yours!
