Welcome Letter

Dear Students,

Welcome to Student Health Services. We are a dedicated group of professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, administrators and other medical personnel available to take care of your health care needs at The Claremont Colleges.

In an effort to better serve you please review the SHS website for more details about our services and programs. Many of the forms and procedural information is detailed on our website. Please be sure to thoroughly read the New Student Guide to SHS before arriving on campus. The entrance physical form for undergraduates students must be completed and submitted to SHS. These forms also list the required immunizations. Completed forms can be submitted to SHS’s Medical Record Uploader on this webpage.

Warmly,
Stephanie Long, MD

Charges for Services

Charges for Supplies

Charges for Labs

Charges for Formulary

Student Health Services does not directly bill any insurance company, including SHIP. Itemized receipts that can be submitted to an insurance carrier are available to students through their online health portal under “Walkout Statements”. Students are responsible for payment for all clinic charges at the time of service or may make payments directly to SHS within 15 days. After 15 days, charges are transferred to Student Accounts at their college.

Flu vaccines are seasonal. They are typically available starting in September and continue until supply runs out in March or April. Flu vaccines are available at SHS and at on-campus flu clinics each year. Announcements will be made once flu vaccines are in stock. The Flu Vaccine Clinic schedule is also published in advance.

The flu vaccine is required on all undergraduate campuses. We accept documentation of Flu vaccines obtained locally at pharmacies or from home care providers. If you receive your flu shot outside of SHS or on-campus flu clinics, please upload a copy of the record here: https://cucclaremont.app.box.com/f/70eadd64c6594c07a0f252b9d57b29ab

Local pharmacies may be a cost-effective choice for students with private insurance, as pharmacies will often offer insurance billing. Please check with your insurance to find out which pharmacies are in-network. Flu Vaccine Clinics are offered with local pharmacies that can bill insurance directly while offering vaccination on campus.
