Workday Support Services

Workday Support Services is a department within TCCS and a service provider to The Claremont Colleges (TCC) and the California Botanic Garden. The primary hub of support for Workday and related systems, Workday Support, leads and supports strategic initiatives via collaborative relationships across TCC to create integrated, secure, and dependable systems, processes, and practices that support efficient and cost-effective operations across TCC. Workday Support works closely with key personnel across Human Resources, Payroll, Financial and Administrative functions, Academic Personnel, IT, and institutional leadership to provide exemplary support and services to all faculty, staff, and students in Workday. Workday is the centralized, cloud-based software solution TCC has implemented to manage human resources, payroll, finance, and benefits across TCC. Workday performs weekly, monthly, and quarterly systems updates. The standard maintenance schedule below describes the windows of time the system is unavailable for use.

  • Weekly Service Update: Every Friday to Saturday for a maximum of 4 hours between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
  • Monthly Maintenance: Friday to Saturday for a maximum of 8 hours between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. See below for dates.
  • Quarterly Maintenance: Friday to Saturday for a maximum of 12 hours between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. See below for dates.

Dormakaba doesn’t have set dates for their maintenance but reserves specific times in the event they require to push a patch or perform maintenance.  This does not mean that this will occur every week, only as needed.  Timeclocks can still be used and will store punches, but no updates to/from Workday will occur until maintenance is complete.

Weekly Maintenance: Saturday 7 am to 1 pm EST
Monthly Maintenance: Saturday 1 pm to 5 pm EST
Quarterly Maintenance: Saturday 5 pm to 9 pm EST
