I am very fortunate to have been born and raised in Southern California. I attended the University of Southern California for my undergraduate studies, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. I then completed four years of medical training at UC Davis Medical School, followed by three years of specialized training at UC Davis Family Practice Residency Program in Redding, California. I have been in private practice most of my career and worked for the The Claremont Colleges Student Health Services for the last 5 years. My experience providing healthcare to colleges students with such diverse backgrounds has opened my eyes to a lot of the unique and difficult challenges that so many students face regarding their physical and mental health. I am proud to work at SHS where we work as a team to provide compassionate care for our patients. We never stop striving to improve our services. I look forward to providing additional services to our students seeking gender affirming care.

Prateek Jindal, DO
Assistant Vice President for Health and Wellness/Staff Physician | Email

I was born in India but moved to Orange County, CA at the young age of 10. After completing high school there, I went to Johns Hopkins University for my B.A. in Biology along with a Minor in Hispanic Studies. I then spent a year doing research with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD before returning to Southern California to pursue my medical education at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. I then completed by specialty training in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA and have been a board certified family physician ever since. Prior to joining The Claremont Colleges, I spent fifteen years with a large multi-specialty group as both an Urgent Care physician initially for 10 years as well as a Family Physician for 5 years. Despite having extensive experience in treating both acute as well as chronic conditions, what I really enjoy most is spending time discussing wellness and disease prevention, especially in a holistic approach balancing physical & mental health and how they affect each other. Apart from work, I enjoy traveling worldwide with my family as well as gardening in our backyard.
