Exploring research on the Home Owners' Loan Corporation's "redlining" maps from the 1930s to a wide array of social injustices in the United States. In this talk, Dr. Markley (Research Director National Zoning Atlas and Visiting Lecturer, Georgia Tech) evaluates what the maps can and cannot tell us about intergenerational transmission of racial inequality.
