Vehicle Registration

All vehicles parked at The Claremont Colleges must display a valid parking permit or an authorized guest parking permit. Please note: Creating a vehicle registration account alone does not register a vehicle. A vehicle is only considered registered once a parking permit has been issued by Campus Safety. Campus Safety will begin issuing citations for failure to register starting Monday, September 15.

How to Register a Vehicle

1. Visit vehcite.cuc.claremont.edu

2. Click “Create New Account” and select either “Faculty/Staff” or “Student.”

3. Enter your ID number as it appears on your Claremont ID card. If the ID number begins with a zero (0), skip the zero. Leave out the dash (-) and the number after it.

4. Complete the required information fields.

5. Present your Claremont ID card, driver’s license, and DMV registration (expired or digital copies are accepted) in person at your campus registration pop-up event or at the Campus Safety office during normal registration hours.

6. If the last name or address on the DMV registration does not match your vehicle registration account, please also bring proof of insurance.

7. If you encounter any issues, a Campus Safety representative can assist you during the registration process. For further assistance, email dispatch@claremont.edu.

  • CMC, HMC, POM, SCR: First-year students must obtain authorization from their Dean of Students Office to register a vehicle.
  • PTZ: All students, regardless of class level, must have an approval letter from Student Affairs on file to register a vehicle.
  • Proctors, RAs, and student workers are eligible for student permits only.

Renewals – No Changes to the Vehicle

If your permit has a validation sticker with a year that has already passed, it needs to be renewed. Permits are valid through the end of the spring semester of the last year shown on the sticker.

Present your Claremont ID card in person at your campus registration pop-up event or at the Campus Safety office during normal registration hours to obtain an updated validation sticker.

Faculty & staff may register up to 10 vehicles by providing DMV registration with their name and/or address.

Parking permits must be renewed every academic year. Present your Claremont ID card in person at your campus registration pop-up event or at the Campus Safety office during normal registration hours to obtain an updated validation sticker.

Students may have only one vehicle registered at a time.

Temporary Permits

ID numbers issued to temporary employees are not valid for vehicle registration. Temporary parking permits can be obtained from designated locations.

Temporary parking permits can be obtained at the Campus Safety Office for loaner/rental vehicles, provided your regular vehicle is currently registered and unavailable for a short period.

Additional Permits & Services

A replacement permit carries a $25 cash-only fee, payable when it is issued. The fee is waived if the current permit is turned in, even if it is damaged or in pieces.

Students may obtain only one parking permit for their home campus. If they live on or work at another campus, they must submit an inter-campus form and have it approved by the Deans of both campuses. Once approved, a temporary parking permit for the “visiting” campus can be obtained from Campus Safety.

Free bicycle registration is available through 529 Garage. The bicycle’s serial number is required for registration. This registration can assist in recovering your bike if it is lost or stolen.
