The Pitzer course Organizational Studies 180 will have a guest speaker - Scott Markley, PhD, Research Director at National Zoning Atlas - on the HOLC "redlining" maps of the 1930s. The Claremont Colleges and Foothill Transit have teamed up to bring you a better way to get around town. The Class Pass gives students, faculty, and staff at The Claremont Colleges free rides on Foothill Transit local and Silver Streak buses.
The EmPOWER Center’s mission is to create a culture where all members of The Claremont Colleges respect and look out for each other, and where students impacted by sexual violence, dating/ domestic violence, and stalking receive holistic support and care. The Center provides free, confidential support to 7C students impacted by sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. The Center works collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, and community partners to build awareness and sensitivity and provide educational programs to the 7Cs community around healthy relationships, sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. The EmPOWER Center welcomes all gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, ethnic and racial identities, religious affiliations, cultural identities, and immigration statuses. Students interested in receiving counseling may call (909) 623-1619 during normal business hours to set up an appointment.
The Queer Resource Center (QRC) is a 7 College resource center serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, omnisexual, pansexual and allied community at The Claremont Colleges. The QRC is a safe space that provides a visible, comfortable, and accessible center for the LGBTQQIAA community to congregate, study, and explore issues of identity. By collaborating with all entities throughout The Claremont Colleges, the QRC consistently offers high-quality, educational, social, and social justice orientated programming which reflects the diversity within the LGBTQQIAA community, building and maintaining strong coalitions with on-campus student organizations, faculty, staff, and alumni at The Claremont Colleges.
