After a lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 test result, it is not recommended to repeat PCR testing for a period of 90 days. Public health data shows that individuals may continue to test positive with PCR tests on and off for up to that time even though they are no longer infectious/contagious. If you develop new symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 within this time period, please seek medical guidance (SHS, 7C.Health, primary care provider) to ask what type of testing, if any, would be of diagnostic value to the clinician. Only lab-confirmed positive results will exempt you from SHS testing for ninety days. At-home testing will not be automatically accepted for this exemption.
