Welcome Shaila Andrabi, Coordinator of Muslim Life! Shaila is new to TCCS but she is not new to The Claremont Colleges. She and her husband, Professor Tahir Andrabi of Pomona College, have served Claremont’s Muslim community since 1988. She is well beloved by the students as a mentor and has been providing a safe space for gathering, dialogue, community, education and fellowship for decades.

Shaila received her M.B.A from Quaid E Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan, and she has been leading the Hindi/Urdu Language Table at the Oldenborg Center for Modern Languages and International Relations here at Pomona College, establishing one of the longest running student language tables with weekly attendance of more than 20 students since 2005.

Previous positions also include Advisor of Student Affairs and Student Well Being with the School of Education at Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan, and President and Board Member of the Pakistan Arts Council.
